Does anyone know why flights are astronomical prices, now and ongoing. Ok July, august… but now is dearer on a lot of the flights now. I have tried Ryan air, easy jet, jet 2 and all are the same. And I’ve tried different airports too.
Yes we may expect higher prices for everything including flights.
Personally I try not to keep looking online at flights on my own devices, phone etc.
Instead I use library or friends wifi as then your searches on airline sites are not stored on your device.
Everytime you look up the flights for a particular day, the price will rise.
To do with cookies and caches?
At least that has been my experience in the past.

Try using the Tor browser (free download) or a VPN if you are concerned about the airlines, or anyone else for that matter, monitoring you.
All issues for UK.....Brexit is a core factor...!
I fly tomorrow booked a few weeks ago and when I looked yesterday to have the same flight to Alicante and then back to east midlands it's gone up over £200 so my advice is take a chance book in advance in future
Many thanks to all those who voted out of of EU hope they all enjoy the mess we are now in as that I believe is also a factor

Bugger all to do with brexit. Fuel costs have doubled since June last year and airlines are skint due to covid.

That's part of it but as one airline owner stated on TV , lazy Brits not turning up for interviews and staffing is difficult because he said lazy and sitting home on benefits
I know fuel has gone up I'm a driver well not for long
The world's gone nuts

And therefore, in your own words, nothing to do with Brexit. If British people are lazy, that cannot be blamed on anything else. The mindset of the entitled liberal "I'll do what I want" culture now prevalent in the UK, is but another brick in the wall. With inflation spiralling globally (average is 9% in the EU), things will only get worse.

Just to put prices into perspective, what are you being quoted? and to which airport?
Sorry so late answering but family reasons. Murcia intl yo Manchester and back. About 200 each way. I did end up getting it for around 80 but there was only one day on each way at the cheaper prices
