Can anyone advise us what is like for retired expats living in Pilar De La Horadada.

Is it a quiet flat area with all amenities required for a relaxing retirement.

Thanks in advance

You really need to visit the areas you are looking at.

You’ll then get a feel for yourself as to what feels right.

What works for one person, won’t work for another

Hi,

Pilar De La Horadada is predominantly flat (you mention 'quiet' flat - but presume you mean 'quite' flat, my apologies if you indeed meant 'quite'), and from its centre you are only approx 2.5km from the coastal beaches that spread north and south. It has all the amenities in the surrounding area that you might need, and a whole host more within a reasonable radius.

As GrahamLynn has mentioned it would be wise to visit. The layout of a town is one thing but how you feel about it is another.

Regards,

Bob

Many thanks for your reply.

If we get some positive 'feedback' we will be visiting in March to either buy or rent.

Do you know of any estate agents in Pilar De La Horadada as struggling to find any.

Best wishes

Hello,

Pilar is a quiet Spanish town and is a flat area. The town has all necessary amenities Banks, Supermarkets, Pharmacies, Dentists, Clinic, Restaurants Cafes, Bus Terminal etc. in and around Calle Mayor (The Main Street).

In terms of Estate agent, you could look at Your Dream Home, they do properties up and down the Costa Blanca.

Hope this helps, good luck.

I don't know where you are in the UK but there are quite a few 'Place in the Sun' exhibitions during 2024. We found them really helpful. We found our solicitor there and quite a few estate agents who have branches in Orihuela Costa have stalls at the exhibitions
