A home for my cat

Shame on you you both for judging Susan75, you can tell from her message she is very upset about leaving her beloved cat.  It takes guts to put your pet up for adoption, she must have her reasons

Loulou and Cathie, don’t be so harsh with comments like that against Susan? It’s obviously a heart wrenching decision for her to leave her cat when she relocates, and your sniping comments are frankly, another kick in the teeth for her. Susan is only asking if anybody could take adopt her cat, your opinions are not what is wanted here, so can I suggest you keep them to yourself - shame on you both....

Cathie (and LouLou) you used Susan’s original post as a means of voicing your opinions on people who abandoning their pets, which (I agree) can be disgraceful.

However, Susan has bravely opened up on the forum, asking for help and a new home for her beloved pet, which must have been a courageous thing for her to do.

I am not a cat lover, but I do have a dog and if I was in the same position as Susan, I would have asked on the forum too To then be questioned as to why I can’t take my pet with me is very impersonal, so can I suggest you apologise to Susan for the remarks and comments that you have directed to her which will no doubt have upset her?

I agree, this is just another example of the extreme nastiness that has polluted the Forum in recent months. Abandoning an animal is disgraceful, putting one up for adoption in a loving environment is the right thing to do when personal circumstances allow no other option.

How stupid and ignorant of you to make those sort of comments. MAYBE, she has to go into a home and no pets allowed, there might be numerous reasons.

And to say they are like your children is ridiculous, they are PETS, not humams you morons and i believe different rules apply, I may be wrong but am sure humans can stay together, just like they are allowed in restaurants etc whereas animals aren't, flippin heck you guys are unreal.

Susan, I fully understand your problem, I'm afraid I can't help you.But you are doing the right thing. We could not bring our cats with us to Spain, but they were rehomed within a week through the blue cross, to good homes that had been checked over. I hope you find a caring cat lover for your cat.

Leave the poor lady alone. You don't know her circumstances. She's doing the responsible thing trying to find a new, loving home for her cat. I really hate these "keyboard warrior trolls" on these forums. I hope you don't let these sad, judgmental people upset you and I hope you find a good home for your cat. Sadly, I'm not in a position to help but it really annoys me how so many people are quick to jump to conclusions.

How dare these spiteful people say there are no excuses for not bringing the cat back to the UK! My friend had a relative living abroad, sadly he was diagnosed with a terminal illness and decided to return to the UK to die, he wasn’t able to bring his pets home to the UK. For all they know, this could be a really personal and tragic time for the original poster ( though I hope not).  I hope they find a loving home for the cat and let’s hope the keyboard warriors feel shame for judging a complete stranger so harshly.   😡 Life is hard enough, be a good human. 

Susan, I would love to be able to help but have three large dogs. I won't say I know how you feel but you must be heartbroken. Sometimes the right thing to do is the hardest. Ignore the nasty comments. No-one has the right to judge anyone. I hope when you read this things have been sorted out happily for you 🤗
