The basic tenet for the lockdown is that any and all trips out of the home should be confined to the bare minimum necessary in frequency, distance, and duration, and performed individually unless there is a genuine and justifiable reason to the contrary.

As much as Rover or Daisy might enjoy their outings then I'm afraid short local walkies by a single person are it until further notice.

I agree with you about one person to walk their dog a short distance, but not to take dog in your car for walkies!!! Please explain why this could spread the infection? Surely walking a dog around streets where you are liable to pass other people walking  their dogs is more risky than putting your dog in the car in your drive, then driving to a deserted area ie. countryside, waste ground, and walking there?

Whoever made up this stupid ruling evidently doesn't have a dog and very little brains...or is it fake news once more infecting social media???l

These are extraordinary times.  These are the rules and they are made to protect you. Unnecessary trips in cars, cycles and on foot are banned. Every trip out is a risk. The rules minamise  that risk. Don't  expect change for a very long time.

Could you please tell me where these rules are stated?

Val, with all the civility I can muster I will answer your question. The Government of Spain have put this writing and it's your duty to find it, read it and adhere to it. On a quite separate note we are in a catastrophic situation.      Common sense and  social awareness should be telling you to take care not to get infected, or, carry the infection to others. It's about all people, not about you. Embrace new regimes instead of questioning them for the answer you would prefer.

Hi if you look on the home page "what are you looking for" dog walking under costa blanca. You will find the legal descriptions & forum members over the last week since implemented.

Hope helps
