Can anybody tell me what happened to CAM Bank?

My Father and I both had money in CAM Bank, but from where I currently live, Scotland, they appear to have "Done a Bunk".

Should this bank be re-named SCAM BANK?

Very grateful to receive all your replies, Terence

CAM bank disappeared in 2011 and was taken over by Sabadell at a cost of 1 euro.

It was in all the papers at the time and you appear to be about 12 years out of date. All accounts were transferred to Sabadell and everyone was notified by post. Hardly a scam if they told everyone. Where have you been hiding for the last 12 years?

Contact Sabadell but any money you had has probably been taken up in fees or put into dead accounts sections as you haven't contacted them for that amount of time.

In 2012, Banco Sabadell purchased the CAM.

Hello, What a strange request? Cam Bank was taken over in 2011 for 1 euro via the Sabadell Bank Irresponsible lending to customers and greatly overvalued portfolio of property. Question. Where have you been for the past 12 years? If its taken that long to check your account I would not worry as to the viability of the account. BLAST Marcliff beat me to it. Always good advice from this gentleman  though. My Regards. R.

My usual environmental temperature is about 20 degrees.

Cold weather is my preferred temperature, ergo I live in Scotland which suits me very well.

Something unknown in Campoverde air causes me to experience extreme breathing difficulties as I am a Brittle Asthmatic, so my trips to Campoverde to see Dad are usually very brief.

So moving on, my father said he was concerned about "his bank, but never gave me any details, I did not know he was with CAM

He very rarely passed on his inner thoughts to me. I can afford to lose any money I had with CAM, but I know my father had much more invested with CAM, and he has only mentioned them to me recently.

Well I must express my gratitude to all who submitted answers to my question and I hope everyone in Campoverde is enjoying the wonderful sunshine in the summer of 2023.

Best wishes to all you expats.

Terry

Would it not be sensible to ask your father for any details he may have reference this defunct account and contact Sabadell head office in writing, paying a translator if necessary, to establish the position? It will inevitably take some time, but I assume the monies are held in some kind of escrow account, awaiting claim. You cannot be the only client in this position.
