I am thinking of buying in campoverde after having sold up in Cyprus. Can any describe social life up there? Bars , restaurants etc . We don’t want noisy all night clubs but would be bored if there was social scene . We don’t wish to be dependent on driving to coast.

There are two main strips of services. Each has restaurants and bars. The restaurants have a range of price points, across breakfast, lunch, tapas and dinner.

The extent to which the strips are "busy" varies by season.

Yes.

Campoverde is a 52 weeks/year place.

As well as bars and restaurants there are 3 supermarkets, a health centre, several doctors, a vet, a dentist, several companies offering legal/gestor/tax services, a 24 hour petrol station, newsagents, pharmacies, several hairdressers, several estate agents, several China shops, a DIY shop etc.

There is a town hall satellite office, a neighbourhood group, a golf group (there is a course nearby), a walking group, exercise/social groups, several pub quizzes, a charity organisation etc.

An ambulance is routinely stationed on readiness in the village. There are regular police patrols.

The bank (Sabadell) closed during Covid and won't reopen, but there are cashpoints.

There is a tennis group Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There is also table tennis, a crib group and almost some sort of live entertainment most nights of the week. There are also darts teams an art group, rambling/hiking group. Quizzes and bingo are also available at various bars, so much to sort all tastes.

The nearest town to Campoverde is Pilar de la Horadada. There is a bus service but if is limited (see Bus Timetable). The town is very vibrant throughout the year - they release a list of activities every week (usually two A4 pages). Within Campoverde there are numerous clubs, societies and groups (see Local). We have our own health centre and our own library (see Library). All this, and more, can be found on our website https://campoverdevecinos.org and of course - should you move here - we are here to help.
