We are hoping to move over in the not too distant future, I have been offered a solar panel and was thinking of using it to power the out side lights and a fridge kept out side.
I have heard about a solar tax. is this just for main electric supply or would my set up come under this tax?

If all you've been offered is a panel, then forget it. You'd also need an inverter and a bank of batteries.
The last I read about solar tax was that the pending new law will exclude installations up to 10 kW.

I am a caravan engineer and have all i need to fit it and make it work, i was thinking more about the tax and if its worth bringing the panel and batteries over.

If it were me, I'd go ahead. As it stands, the solar tax law is virtually unworkable and since shortly after its introduction has been slated to be repealed or replaced. I haven't got time to read the law at present, so can't give specific arguments. What you could do is fit an isolator switch to the circuit you intend to use the solar for. That would then make it an off-grid installation, which isn't affected by the law.

Hi Jim wonder if you can help just moved in to a property in camp verde got one solar panel for hot water not very warm plus combo boiler water no different didn’t know if you knew any good company to sort it out thanks
