Hi All
we have just started our journey for our Spanish Dream. We are currently still in the UK however we have a fair few short trips booked to/from Spain this year and I wondered about maybe getting a Lobster Mobile SIM Card. my question is would it be beneficial for us to get one when calling Spain from the UK and vice versa? Has anyone done the same at all? Any info on them would be helpful.

This link will provide you with all the information about Lobster and the packages available. I'm in Spain and call and text friends and relatives regularly and haven't gone outside the limits of my contract (I have the Large bundle). I also use Lobster while in the UK with absolutely no problems. Obviously it is your decision what will work best for you. I still have a UK SIM with Tesco Mobile for UK banking purposes.

Very good service. I have the 12.99€/ month package, which includes a lot of data and unlimited free calls to UK, and vice versa when I'm there. English customer service also, very helpful.
Lobster is great however unlike many other services when you go to UK it doesn't necessarily automatically sign on to the UK networks, you have to go into the Lobster SIM app and switch to roaming.
Easy when you know, not so easy when you don't and don't have a working phone to call them - or anybody - with.
Happpened to both my wife and myself when visiting UK recently and I had to log onto the airport free WiFi to be able to contact my son who was picking us up via WhatsApp.

It's useful to have a Spanish mobile number as officials, delivery drivers, health service etc wont call you unless you have a Spanish number.

We have contracts with Spanish Orange, and for an extra one euro per month I can make calls to UK. Apart from that, nearly everyone uses WhatsApp for everything here, including deliveries, firms, etc.
