Moving to Spain - Page 2

Unfortunately if we had to do it all over again everyone would go out and vote snd noy allow us to make this terrible mistake . However moving to Spain is possible as we know just a little bit more paperwork , and whilst we have the lurgy I guess we have to give it a bit more time for this present phase to calm down . Yes we did it to ourselves for whatever reason but anything worth having we shall still have ....so move we shall ! 

How sad is this. If Spain is punishing the British.

It would be prudent to wait a little before purchasing anything

Try Googling, "Is Spain punishing UK citizens following Brexit?" and you'll find nothing to support that statement, other than perhaps some old headlines from the Brexit-loving gutter press.

Spain already has agreements with individual Third Countries, such as Andorra and Ukraine, which see their citizens being treated much more like Europeans.  I'm hopeful for second-homeowners in Spain who didn't vote to leave the EU that, in the future, the UK and Spain will come to a similar agreement.  Perhaps, if it hadn't been for Covid-19, discussions would already be planned 🤔

I think Lara's view is sensible - for those who weren't able to move here before 1 January, don't make any commitments just yet; see how things pan out next year, when hopefully nations will be able to look forward again.

They aren't. We punished ourselves.

What part of Spain is not punishing British do you not understand. 

Hi, we can identify with the sentiments expressed: we were also hoping to have travelled and purchased our new home in Petrer/elda by now! COVID has well and truly put paid to that.
