Hi,

Does Spain have department stores similar to John Lewis or the like around the Alicante region. Any suggestions will be helpful. I am looking to furnish house and need most things. Thank you.

It’s probably just as quick for you to head the  El Corte de Ingles in Murcia and a “quick” trip to Neuva Condomina . As well as Ikea, you’ve got Conforama, Zara Home, Primark, Pepco, MGI. etc.

Or take a visit to Carrefour or Al Campo they both have a huge variety of products.

The chinos are also a great place to find everything you need, without having to travel too far.

I fully agree with Lynn. El Corte Ingles is similar to Harrods, good quality at horrendous prices. Went there for a pair of trousers offered with a discount of 65% for 85,- (hence was 155,-!), Then got a full suit with 2 trousers and including a vest for 40,- at C&A.
