Hi Gill,

Mandy and I are out in Elche next week viewing 14 properties! We are keen on the Pinoso area and towards Elche. We are being looked after by Alicante Dream Homes / Alicante Property / Pinoso Villas all of these are owned by the two brothers Mike & Gary and together with Paula have been very helpful so far. We have decided not to go for a new build as we find the plots a little sterile and there are many ready to move into properties on the market. Having sold our home here in the UK we are moving permanently to Spain by the end of June! and will short term rent in the region whilst we offer and complete on our chosen property. Pretty well organised with Lawyer and agents but still sorting removals and storage. We have a small dog so will be driving from UK to Elche when we leave in June.

Very much looking forward to next week to get a first hand feel to the various areas, villages and properties currently on offer. Absolutely not concerned about Brexit as apart from maybe some additional forms and residencia requirements, all will be fine. Mandy's daughter, 15 years of age, will come out at the end of August and home school using Oxford Home Schooling courses and internet tutors.

Going for it! and we can not wait....

Cheers Paul

That’s great Paul! We loved Pinoso it seems to have everything we were looking for.. lots of luck in your search and I’m sure Gary will look after you!

We are back in Pinoso in Sept so if you’re around it would be great to meet up!

Hi, we moved to Culebron which is just outside Pinoso in October last year. My wife and I love it here. There is a great mix of Spanish, English and other nationalities. All are friendly and welcoming (in our experience).

We have just opened a Casa Rural (B&B) called Sunny Vista.

Feel free to ask questions or just say hello when you are in town.

Good luck with your move. I know Gary too, he is a good guy so you are in safe hands.

Where's the British shop you mentioned? Not that we go there for British stuff but useful to know!

There are items in the bar El Refugio     It’s on the street where the post office is.
