Result! After an awful lot of searching, found a compensation form which has at least been acknowledged. Doesn’t mean to say I’ll get anything back but feel I have made some progress. I am still angry that we would still be stuck in Spain because of their failure to repatriate us.

My flight with Easijet to the UK was cancelled on the 17 March. Took the refund option which they stated would be 7 days. Today is the 28 March and still no refund?!!

I had cancellation 24 March and my email says refunding but so far nothing.

Hi there from Allan in alfaz del pi near benidorm. I have the same problem. Trying to get a refund is proving difficult. I paid on my credit card so I am going to try clawing on credit card as well as pursuing easy jet

I read an article that said the Airlines are trying to lobby the Government to suspend the law that entitles you to a refund and change it to Airline vouchers. Someone else reported they booked a flight with Portugal TAP and were promised a refund twice, only for a Airline voucher to be given.

If that is the case it would make sense for the Airline industry to delay refund claims, hoping to conserve cash.

Although they know flights on most of their routes are cancelled, one American airline is only cancelling flights 24 hours before departure as part of their refund delaying tactics,

I agree. I also think they are trying to conserve cash. Problem being if they do go into a form insolvency ie

liquidation or administration, we would struggle to get our monies back unless we paid on credit card. I was promised a refund within 7 days which was over two weeks ago. Now they have shut down all their customer services helpline so you can't get to speak with anyone in anycase.
