Easyjet are acting disgracefully and illegally by not providing refunds fully and quickly in accordance with legal requirements. Removing the refund request form off the website is an act of raw cynicism to deliberately frustrate passengers efforts to pursue their legal rights. For those that think we should be bank rolling Easyjet with our prepaid fares to protect their survival I would say this: market forces will prevail. Easyjet has no de facto right to exist as a business and if they do go into administration then new providers will emerge to fill the market gap. So pay up Easyjet and if you're not around in 6 months time too bad. I'll book a flight with "Easyfly" or whoever else takes over the supply of much demanded and profitable services.

We’re now stranded out here after easyJet cancelled our 3.4 flight to Manchester. They assured us , 2 weeks ago today by phone(after I’d been on hold for 2 hours) that if they had to cancel our flight, they would put us on with another airline, but he stressed it would have to be an economy seat! As the situation worsened, we’ve emailed and tried live chat, but to no avail! Because every business is in trouble, we rebooked seats with them for January 2021. We’re now booked with Jet2 to go home on 1.5, but don’t expect that to go either! It’s unprecedented times and all we can do is adhere to the strict lockdown and stay safe. It would probably be foolish now to travel anyway!

I think this says it all about EasyJet, when their staff would rather see it go under than accept the conditions being imposed on them by the company.
I don’t see why the Government should be the first port of call for a bailout. Stelios and other shareholders have just had a fat juicy dividend paid and they should be taking part of the hit. As a shareholder you have to accept the good times along with the bad. I have Bank shares and have no problem with my dividend being scrapped this time to help keep businesses afloat with that money used for loans.

Hi there I agree. Tommorrow I will try find out which dept in UK government deals with the easy jet problem of no refunds. I will post results later. We should all complaint to the UK government department for action against the airlines that won't give refunds on cancelled flights due to the very serious corona virus epidemic. Allan Tingle fro alfaz del pi.

What were you claiming for, was it just the ticket price or something different?

We will see easyJet go into administration or apply for a government bailout in the coming days/weeks..... and others in the long term.
The days of ‘cheap’ air travel will diminish greatly with the advent of carriers going under. Just another economic consequence of this pandemic.

I have spent almost £1,000 on flights to get home (worth every penny!) and just trying to find a way of logging my refund request for the flights they cancelled. Resorted to the EU regulations for compensation which cover “denied boarding” and I believe EJ are behaving illegally with the intention of raising a legal case in the future. Ryanair, BA and Jet2.com are all behaving properly so why can’t EJ?
