Hi just wondering if the Hidragua standing charge has risen in the last few months the bill this month is higher than expected

Posted before but they are clawing back the money for dealing with sewerage.  To deal with the financial crisis last year, they reduced the water bills by taxes and sewerage charges. Now they say it is back to normal, they are charging double sewerage to recoup the money. Ours was an extra 27.60 on top of the normal charge.

No the standing charge is still the same, you should however see the information about the sanitation levy on your bill

So for not paying for 12 month period Aug 22-July 23, they are now double charging you for the next 18 months to recoup this. Typical governmental mathematics

They're charging for the 12 month period they didn't charge for over an 18 month period - they're not charging you more

i.e they're charging an amount equal to 1/18th of the charge each month rather than 1/12 so they end up with 100% of the amount owed as opposed to 150%
