Can someone advise me please about my i-pad?  Suddenly it doesn’t charge up anymore, I tried another charger but get the same results.  This has been going on for 1 week, however, one evening it suddenly charged.  The next day it was dead again.

Any ideas please?  Or a place I can take it to.

Thank you

I have had that same (occasional) problem with my Samsung Tablet.  I think it down to all the contacts getting dirty through dust in the air and being dry. I cured it with mine by very carefully spraying WD40 into the charging port and inserting the charge plug several times to help clean the contacts.

WD40 is non conducive and safe to use on electronic devices.

There is a very good repair place upstairs at Villamartin plaza that will be able to help.

I was having the same problems, so I just popped into one of many I-phone = techy shops in torrevieja, it turned out to be a faulty charging lead, a new one cost 5 Euro, they even cleaned the terminal on the i-pad before recommending the new lead,

I tried 3 other leads/chargers with the same results.  Can charge my i-phone but not i-pad.

I had this problem and cleaning the charging port with a soft brush, strong light to see inside the port and toothpick to grab the fluff worked. You have to be gentle but it worked for me.

There are different charging powers for phones and tablets especially apple equipment.

This can happen depending on chargers used. Also it can be effected by using USB links or direct plug charging.

The iPad needs an iPad charger and is always best plugged directly into a plugged USB, avoid multi links as this reduces the power output.

A clean of the charging ports will always improve the links and the correct charger connected to a direct plug link should work.

V...that person has his opinion and I respect that but I've used WD40 on hundreds of different things from vehicle electrics down to door hinges and never really seen any gummy mess. I cleaned my iPad charging port about 6 weeks ago when I had problems getting it to recharge and its still ok today. WD40 is definitely non conducive so no harm done.

If it’s not an official Apple lead it’s probably that the lead needs replacing. We’ve had the same issues with ones bought in Todo shops over the years.
