Hi

I have posted in the Guardemar forum previously as we had seen a property for sale which we liked. But COVID knocked our plans on the head.😞

We are looking for a two bed resale, furnished apartment , with communal pool and preferably without steps or with a lift. Close to amenities and golf. We are retirees in our mid-sixties. The property would be used as a holiday home.

I speak and understand Spanish and also German. We would love to be in an area close to the sea with a mix of nationalities.

I would very much appreciate your recommendations as to what area would suit us best.

Thank you.

Hi Debra

This question is asked quite often on the forum, naturally, replies tend to be a little biased towards the areas that people bought in, as most people enjoy their holiday homes.

Me too but my area of La Florida would fit your criteria, just a couple of minutes walk to bars/restaurants and supermarket, a short drive to beaches, golf courses and La Zenia Boulevard. Torrevieja town is app 10 mins drive or cab.

To give you an idea of what is for sale in and around La Florida there is also a local Estate agent, please Google Rosa inmobiliaria or rosamh.com, sorry I can't make the link work lol.

Your description of what you are looking to purchase is exactly what I have and there are plenty around us for sale as you will see if you visit Rosa.

Ken.

If you want to be close to the sea and golf then South of Torrevieja is probably your best bet. Punta Prima, Playa Flamenco are just two examples that are close to the beach and numerous golf courses.

As North of this along the coast the golf courses are all inland.

Thank you Ken.  Your reply is very much appreciaatd.

Can I ask you whether there is a mix of nationalities in your area or is it predominantly British/Irish?

Thanks

Debra

Hi

Thank you for your reply.  It is much appreciated.

Can I ask the same question I asked Ken?  Whether there is a mix of nationalities in these areas?

Very much multi national.

In our small complex of app 70 properties we have of course English and Irish but German, Spanish, Norwegian, Belgian and Swedish too.

To add to what TheAshes has said regarding areas, Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca and our area La Florida are all situated next to each other.

Hi,

I don't know if you have played golf in Spain, if you have you probably know the costs but I would check out the various cost options in any area you are looking to buy. Golf is not cheap in Spain, in the peak months it can be difficult to get tee times as well as expensive

We bought an apartment in Punta Prima (La Campania Urb behind Dynastia Restaurant). 15 mins stroll to the beach, lots of good bars and restaurants within a few mins walk. Really pleased with the location...
