I have been awarded Spanish residency and attended my TIE appointment this morning. During this appointment I also had my fingerprints taken. I was told to return in one month to collect my card and was given a receipt -  Resguardo de solicitud o renovación de tarjeta de extranjero. I actually need to return briefly to the UK in less than a month. Would I be able to do so without any issues by showing this receipt, along with the residency resolution letter I was given at passport control? I have now been in Spain for over 90 days.  I know I should have asked the police officer I was dealing with today but her English was as bad as my Spanish! Many thanks in advance.

You need to apply for a 'Authorisation to return':
