Hi all

Just discovered a 2nd internet cable running to my property from a street lamp post going across my garden  tacked along the base of my terrace and then across my roof to next doors property   I discovered this by chance tonight   No knowledge of when this was put in, although it would be in the last 6 months and how access was gained   Is this common place in Spain  ?  Im a bit taken aback that i wasnt asked for permission but perhaps there are different rules  Any assisance greatly appreciated

I'd connect to such cable and find out what it is there for.

I might be in trouble if i cut it  Im checking with one provider  Cant believe someone scaled the wall put up a tall ladder  pinned this cable under my balcony and then got onto my roof and pinned it in to next door   Shocked 😳

It's on your property, ergo you own it & can do what you like with it.

It's an internet cable, not a utility like gas or electricity so have at it.

It's the very least I'd do.

In fact, I'd cut it at the point where it encroaches onto my property, roll it up neatly, cable tie it together & lob it over into next door's garden with a note attached saying "I believe this is yours."

But that's just me...

Hi Cheryl,

If you can see which property it connects, you could ask the owner.

Kind regards,

Kim

Life's too short for allowing people to take liberties like that.

🤣🤣🤣

I'd start with my approach and if that doesn't elicit a sensible response, proceed to the next step - Stan's! 👍🤭
