So we've had our visa request accepted! A few bits of the process were a right pain, but got there in the end. They've told us we have to enter Spain within 90 days, but we have asked them if this from the approval date, or from the date we requested which was Jan 17th 22.

As ever, we are waiting for conformation...

Hello Saltydog

I think  it is from the approval date. Your Visa lasts 3months & 15days from then & you have to apply for residency in the 1st month you are in Spain. As this is not always a quick procedure  you would  be out of time  to achieve this if you didn't arrive until Jan.2022 & I think your Visa would then be invalid.

Ive seen this explanation given before on the forum by a reliable  poster,

I'm looking for the official link but until I find it someone else might confirm what I have posted

Cheers

Hi,yes you have to apply within the first month as there is still a backlog of applications and we did not get our first appointment for 3 weeks and then we had to wait 3 weeks until we picked our cards up from Alicante,so you will be cutting it fine if you leave it later. Best of luck

Police checks are needed for NLV application now. ACRO website. https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx

Can anyone tell me what Health Insurance they used for the NLV. Apparently not all are acceptable.
