Don't panic, it's not that bad.

We used Spanish Tax Forms Ltd, based on the UK, Google them, they will charge about £30 to complete the necessary forms based on information they will request from you, they email the forms to you to get printed and you take them to your Bank to pay. The tax is based on the Castral Value of your property, this is on your property deeds.

Jimmy is right, your solicitor will charge an arm and a leg for doing it.

Also, the deadline for paying is December when you pay for the previous year. So in December 2018 you are paying for 2017, or if you bought during the year then from the date of purchase until the end of the year.

Spanish Tax Forms Ltd were able to complete our forms last December for 2015 ( October to December ) and for 2016. Our solicitor contacted us out of the blue to say he could do it but his fees on top of the tax were over double what we had to pay the Company and the tax combined. Easy choice to make.
