Hi Katie,

That's great news for Mark and others who are trying to get back to Spain.

For anyone who hasn't signed up to Gov.UK alerts, this one was issued today at 4.47pm.  Interesting to see that it says this has been communicated to the airlines - I assume anyone planning to travel on this basis will print off a copy of the information for check-in!

Good luck to all 'almost' residents who were hoping to get back here on the basis of having their approved "resguardos".  Hope you can get here soon without further issues.

Best wishes,

Kim

Wow, this sounds hopeful!! PSB in Torrevieja (they deal with our taxes, legal stuff) have a copy of our property purchase so will contact them in the morning.

thank you so very much, you’re a star. Will let you know how I get on.

Normally the Spanish authorities (Police, Customs officers etc.) only accept original documents and not photos or photocopies

Why not call Ryanair? We have phoned them a couple of times about cancelled flights and always got through within 5-10 minutes - we call as their lines open at 8am on the dot. Good luck with getting back.

Yes.  Sounds very drastic!!!

I know you don’t know me.   But I am quite happy to go to yours and find your documents and send them to you.  I’m in campoverde. So not a million miles away.  You can send me a message privately if you would like to.

Thank you for previously offering to break in for me, that’s really kind but yesterday, Monday, 22nd Feb. our legal people phoned our Town Hall who are being helpful and a new Padron is in progress which is now one of the official documents that allows us to travel.

Ah, ok. We eventually asked a friend that lives in El Mirador who still has a set of keys to one of our 2 main doors, she was a last resort! I hate asking for help (very independent) and she said yes, but now we are getting a new Padron we have 2 options in our favour, just hope we’ll be able to travel with the Padron before it’s 3 months expires!
