Unless you're walking there must be half a dozen 'English' butchers within striking distance of La Zenia any one of which I'm sure will cut you any joint you want.

Not sure many will have beaf though lol

For once I have to disagree with Villas. When I look in a carnicería or a butchery counter in a supermarket, I often wonder what happens to the likes of rump, topside, sirloin etc. There is however a Spanish butcher in Torrevieja who caters for the British, and hangs his beef for three weeks so it's well matured. This is Only Meat near Habaneras. If you want directions, just ask.

The problems near the coast. aghhhhh.

Perhaps a (new) "Jims´s guide on carnicería. The cuts are very different here, rump "t-bones" etc. Still tastes the same....

PS Jim, (you may have guessed......I´m not a vegan)

I do my research by visiting restaurants and butchers. Still not complete....Must keep trying!

As I said, I wonder where all the good cuts go to - export? Any type of beef joint is impossible to find, and the only steaks available seem to be

entrecôte, which I don't like. That's why I go to Miguel at Only Meat.

PS: nice to see you so active on the forum.

They seem to cut (very) different here. I will research it (apart from eating) My Spanish  family have butchering connections, but I am no expert. Entrecote I love. (but unlike Jim, I still have a few real teeth!) The solomillo (loin)  (off the top of the t-bone) sirloin...(don´t quote me Please!) mmmmm.

More research required methinks Jim.
