Please where is the butcher in Torrievaja?

Miguel speaks quite good English, and his lady butcher is even better (and nicer to look at!).

There's a really good array of meat, but don't ignore the freezer. I often raid that for treats like venison and pig's cheek, oxtail etc.

I think a lot depends on your expectations. I don't even know where Los Dolces is, and there may be a good butcher, but in all my years here I've not found anywhere as good as Only Meat. Every few months I grit my teeth and go down to Torrevieja, braving the traffic, just to stock up the freezer.

The only reason I go to Bells, or to Hamiltons in Benijófar, is to stock up on pies or sausage rolls if I can't be bothered making them myself. Reeves at San Luis used to be quite good, but then they ruined their pies by changing the pastry, and stopped hanging beef for long enough - to the extent that I was buying rump steak and vac packing, then putting it in the fridge for a couple of weeks to mature before it was fit for eating.

There is a butchers NEXT TO the Correos office.

Try going into the Mas y Mas supermarket (on the ring road V close to the above ) butchery dept and asking him to cut it for you

There is an English butchers inside the Los Dolsis shopping area, he is a good butcher and if he does not have one he should be able to get one for you.   Good luck,

If you have a car, then its either, Only Meats in Torrevieja,  Quesada butchers (english) on the main road going towards Quesada  or Chop Shop (english) behind the row of shops/Bars on the left side as you go into Quesada through the archway.  Also Reeves butchers at St Louis.

Depends on what I want, I go to all the 1st 3 as all are slightly different in what they produce. IE pies, sausage, bacon trial and error. But all are good.
