Poor after sales service in Spain

We recently purchased a large shower unit from Leroy Merlin,everything fine until delivery.The first delivery was 2 large glass screens short,the next 1 shower screen short.I had workers trying to install,left twiddling there fingers.When I approached Leroy Merlin,they wanted me to tell them exactly what they haven´t delivered,when I asked them to work out what they haven´t sent,they wanted to charge me €35 for them to check their mistake,bearing in mind they had charged me €130 to delivery it 10 kms..Preservice excellent after service rubbish.Anyone else had these problems,it like talking to a brick wall and smiling goldfish.

My personal experiences with Customer Service at Leroy Merlin (in Murcia) are completely positive, but it's always the singer, not the song being the language barrier the major gap. Sorry for what happened to you.

Not used Leroy Merlin but have used several other companies here for things like garden paving, new bathroom and walk in shower, new kitchen and, of course, furniture. Always had good service during and after. For example, one kitchen laminate started peeling after about 2 years. Kitchen company came out and replaced it and the fitter said always guaranteed.

Unlike the poor service, during and after, from B&Q and several others in UK. The only poor service I've had here have been from a double glazing company owned and run by Brits and a furniture company also owned and run by Brits.

May avoid Leroy Merlin, though, after your experience.

Recently had 2 ceiling fans installed by Leroy Merlin. The fitters left large holes exposing electric wires in both celings and then said an extra 54 euros was owing for 'extra' electric fitting. I went in person to complain about the way the work was left, armed with photos, and got precisely nowhere. They said it was not their problem and I had to pay the extra or it would go to further action.

Very friendly in the store whilst buying the fans and paying upfront but rubbish after service. I shall never use them again. It was the first time I used them, and that's the last.

After sales service is a rare commodity in Spain I have found. They are happy to sell you stuff, but then you are on your own and it's not only the big outlets.
