You jammy so and so, Michael must have been having a twinge of conscience-NOT!

We decided to bite the bullet and booked with Jet2, OUCH!, for our upcoming flights to ALC

I have heard that their refunds are more reliable than that other company we hear so much about, just forgot the name!

Just for the record, I had to rebook 2 RYR flights that were cancelled in March, and when I got the "free flight change" in April, they were of course more expensive than the originals, so had to cough up the difference. Today they are less than half the price they were in April, isn't that a surprise! NOT!

Hasta pronto

Ray & Frances

Looking at their app. Refunds should be paid as following.

  • All March cash refund requests have now been cleared.
  • At the end of June, 50% of April cash refunds have been cleared.
  • By 15th July, the balance of April cash refunds will be processed.
  • By the end of July, all of May and most of June cash refunds will also be processed.

Well done to anyone who has managed to secure their refund from Ryan Air. I am still waiting for refunds for April, May and June. On the flip side our July and August flights with Jet 2 were notified as being cancelled, request for a refund submitted and refunded money back into my bank within 3 weeks. Brilliant after-sales service, Mr. O’Leary could learn a lot from them. We have already said that our monthly flights next year will be booked with Jet 2 and we will have to take the hit on the extra cost but at least we know if the same situation arises again where flights have to be cancelled (fingers crossed we don’t have to go down that road again) we will be refunded in a timely fashion and without the stress Mr. O’L has put us through this year.
