Unable to access form 210 on Aeat web site.
I am a non resident and I have owned a house in Spain for the last11 years .I have always completed Spanish tax form 210 myself and paid the tax at my local bank . For some reason best known to Aeat I now find that I cannot access form 210 on the Aeat web site without a digital ID or my NIE and its support number. I do not have a digital ID and my NIE is an A4 paper one and the Aeat system will accept my NIE number but not the number which, I believe is the support number, on the top corner of my NIE.
This seems to be an illogical change made by Aeat as there is no security issue in accessing the form, it only serves to make things more difficult and besides the form was always available to everyone as it could be accessed and completed by any non resident who has a tax liability and application can be made for NIE registration from a link within the form.
I have made contact with Aeat who replied basically saying get a Spanish electronic ID. All well and good but the process involved in obtaining one seems to be quite cumbersome and involves a personal visit to one of a number of of government organisations.
Has anybody else come across this problem or maybe solved it, I`d appreciate any help
