Now I'm totally confused because melvy first posted asking about holiday lets and looking for work as his trade was a painter now he's saying they are hoteliers with experience why didn't he say that in the first post yet seem to applaud bullets response to selltlement and work

Both myself and wife both appreciate your comments and advice both positive and negative. We appreciate your concerns and we have no intention of coming to take away opportunity from the current community or not integrating. Our only intention is for both us and our children to experience the Spanish lifestyle only to hopefully become part of the community over time.

I have got significant experience in both providing holiday accommodation as well as my main trade which is painting.

I am not looking for work just asking about opportunity?

as previously posted I completely understand and value your feedback on the current situation in your community.

 To:Rodders.

Firstly: I do not think my advice is “better than everybody´s”

I´ll let others be the judge of that.

I was addressing a side-question (about education) by the original poster (Melvy1968) & in doing so, drew on my observations of other children & young persons passing through the Spanish educational system over the time I have been here, I still live here “today” & still feel “up to date” in my observations, comments & opinions. We´re all entitled to our opinions are we not? That is why this “public” forum exists.

I am sorry if in not agreeing with you made you feel in any way “ridiculous”.

With respect.

Forgive me for going off point here, but.......

Rodders does not live in Sax (so i understand)

Villas does........ has done for 20 years,

Has assisted numerous people, not just Brits, with all aspects of moving/integrating into the town, and has become a close personal friend.

His knowledge and contacts have been invaluable to myself and many others.

Sax is a truly wonderful place to raise a family in and the way the locals embrace us outsiders is truly humbling.

As for working, i can make no comment, but as most people know, Spain has unemployment problems and jobs are hard to come by.

Saying that, my place is in need of a lick of paint.........keep in touch!!

Hi there,

Sorry for jumping into the conversation, im currently looking to move to Sax from UK with my family, kids 2&3 years.

Fortunately I  work abroad, but we intend to embrace Spanish customs and put children through state school where im hoping they will pick up Spanish quickly as at a good age to learn, i will also be learning spanish starting online now.

4 questions (initially):

Any opinions on schools in the town and preferences?

Can anyone recommend someone for spanish lessons?

Local builders you would recommend?

Is there a gym in the area?

Gracias!!
