Hi all just letting you know that all the shops were open in Sax today. Spoke to shop keepers who have said they will be open everyday. It’s only the bars and restaurants that are closed. So happy shopping everybody 😊

The only businesses permitted to remain open are supermarkets, bakeries, butcher’s shops, fishmongers, greengrocers, petrol stations, pharmacies, tobacconists and newspaper kiosks. Happy Sunday.

Sadly, this is not true. You can drive out for food, healthcare products, other essentials and to the garage for petrol. You can visit the sick, elderly or disabled.  You can not go shopping and you can not drive over to have dinner/lunch etc with friends. The police have special powers now and if your journey is non essential then beware.

I'm happy for you. From 08.00 on Monday you are required to stay at home for FIFTEEN DAYS. By law you can only make the journeys described in my previous post. The Police have the power now to stop vehicles to find out why you are on the road, and, to enter premises  to ensure conformity. A task that history tells us they will undertake with some zeal. Make that paint last.

Today, in Campoverde, the Town Hall have a megaphone message going out.

They "recommend" that we stay at home. They are not "instructing" us to stay at home.

That said, all bars/restaurants closed. Essential journeys only to buy food, to visit medical facilities/doctors/pharmacies.

Normal work activities continue as usual.

Kelvin,

Normal work will mean in most cases... At Home or no work.
Most businesses will close down.

As I have seen: shops are selling cleaning products , detergent, lejia  etc  ie: Ferreteria may open & sell paint. (mañana).

An aside: The guy (this morning) riding out on his push-bike/crash helmet & lycra received a fine from the local policia. He said he was "out for some bread".He when asked from where,  & explained from Villena (14k). He received his multa & went.
