Well that's total bollox. I love Beni, always have done. I've defended it tonnes on here when some people talk about it based on reputation and hearsay not experience. I've said many times that being close to Beni is one of the key factors in my property hunt. I don't love it for it's madness although that is the pull for many (and fair enough), but it's variety, it's acceptance of anything and anyone, it's contrasts, it's fun, etc. Beni is an amazing place, I've always said this.
In the context of this thread I used it as an example of a place whose local economy is and will be harder hit by CV than a self-sufficient Spanish town in the mountains. I don't see how that is using it as a negative, it's just a reality.
