Hello everybody,

We are a Dutch couple and are moving to Salinas near Sax. We are very excited about this. It will still take some time but we want to travel between houses for a year.

My husband Paul is almost 63 and I (Karin) will turn 60 in September. We have a dog Luna (mix between a labrador and Swiss Sennen). Our son Matt is 27. He will be staying behind in the Netherlands. I would really like him to move with us (in an other house) and learn Spanish so that he could one day live here. My love for Spain has started many years ago as my parents used to be here for most of the year. Sadly my father passed away in Alicante far too young. It was his dream to live here permanently. It has been my dream to and if we don't do it now while we are relatively young we won't do it anymore i think.

Paul likes to take the boat with him (SeaRay 6.20 meter from 1998) Can anybody reccommend a harbour?

Of course we would love to meet new people. We will be coming over soon and have to buy some stuff for the house. Are there any secondhand stores in or around Sax?

Thanks for reading this and hope to meet up some day.

Karin

Hi & welcome to the area.

Very quickly, If you call into Inland Villas & speak with David, next to Bar Sol (Sax) on the way into Sax from Salinas, he may help regarding to moor your boat.

Hi Karin, we have a holiday home in Salinas which we have had for over 2 years now and we love the village. You can pick up second hand stuff on this forum also. Any questions about the area I will try and help you with.

Hello,

Does anyone know where to buy or rent a trailer? We are coming over in two weeks and want to buy and transport stuff.

Regards

Paul and Karin

Hi welcome to the area..Trailers in Spain may need an ITV with the car. Facebook is good for second hand items. Sax, Villena, Castalla group. Also some large Charity shops on the coast. Good to go on coastal Facebook's. La Marina, Quasada. As many houses are sold furnished. Also lots of people selling things on Pinoso, Hondon facebook. Ask a question on these sites, and normally get an answer.

ITV is the yearly car inspection. Larger trailers are registered to one car only, and needs to go for a yearly test as well.
