The song wasn’t great but didn’t deserve nil points as many were worse. Unfortunately there is far too much political voting, nothing to do with the song or singer!!

Don't blame others, blame the song. UK's and Germany's were definitely the worst, deservedly came bottom.
I thought it was an average song and not a great performance (a matter of taste of course). Most of the other unremarkable songs (including Ireland:() were weeded out at the semifinals, but the U.K. had their pass to the final. This free pass has advantages and disadvantages. I don’t see it as primarily political, although Amanda Holden’s celebration of monolingualism was probably the political statement of the night.

I think it's the way we select our songs and the lack off money staging it , plus a little anti British voting.

Listened to the song yesterday, on Youtube, to be honest null points was generous! Though to be fair, I did'nt listen to the others so perhaps I am being bit unfair on the UK song.
Aitch.

When you get Greece giving Cyprus 12 points and Cyprus giving Greece 12 points surely there is something wrong with the voting system. It's not just those two countries, it happens all the time.
The UK didn't have a good song but it wasn't the worst.

The UK entry for Eurovision came last, again, with null points. You wonder why the land of Beatles and Rolling Stones is incapable of producing a song that would at least finish in the top half. Quite embarrassing really.
We can't even blame EU for this.
hi,
i think the voting system in this charade of a song contest is used to vent political anger at the uk for at the moment brexit.
its not really a song contest anymore, more a platform for the europe to show just how really bad there dress sense can be and
how tuneless there music is...
the uk boast some of the most famous bands of the last 50 years, all household names globally, the uk has and will continue to produce world class music ...
we have given the world..
the beatles
the rolling stones
Adele
Amy winehouse
europe...
nena........look it up, its awful

The UK entry came last several times well before Brexit. These are just excuses.
If a song is good it will win, or at least finish in the top half. As for Beatles and Rolling Stones, where are the likes now ?

its been a political vote for sometime, the last time it was brexit, before that it was because of the 2016 referendum etc.
the Beatles don't exist anymore but still outsell almost any artist that has ever appeared on the show if not all of them (with the exception possibly abba, but im not sure)..
I'm afraid the rolling stones are still about, touring and making albums..
the uk has always produced fantastic cutting edge music, the european song contest does not...

The last time UK entry received null points was in 2003. what has this got to do with Brexit referendum etc. ? If UK can produce fantastic cutting edge music, why can't they produce one for Eurovision ? Perhaps they take pride in finishing last.
