Hi all

We need to arrange to get a Spanish will done. But with restrictions looking like they will continue well into the summer we may not be able to come out to arrange in person. We have not been out for over 18 months due to my husbands cancer and Covid. Is there a notary/lawyer anyone knows who would be willing to do it remotely if it possible. Would need to be English speaking. Thanks

Hello Sue.

Please see link to one highly recommended company.

Jim's Guide - Wills for less than €60

Although signatures are required a lot can be done online.

The staff speak english and are worth contacting.

I hope your situation continues to improve and that you can visit your Spanish home soon.

Kind Regards

Maria 😊

We had Spanish wills prepared last year. They had to be notarised by a Notary. We had to show up in person and meet the Notary (in Pilar) with our solicitor. Passports etc. were checked.

So the stumbling block will be the Notary. There are a few of them in Pilar, so it would be might be worth contacting one or two of them to see if a remote meeting (via Zoom or similar) could be possible.

Your solicitor can work with you by phone/email.

Thank you. I bought the house in a similar way! But had to come out to sign everything but that might not be possible and My husband is quite poorly and not allowed to fly at the moment. Thanks yo

Thank you. Our British solicitor did not offer that as an option. I will look into it. Thank you
