Now the British government are blaming the rest and care home for the death of 30,000.old folks ,boy it takes some believing what a shambles. If Spain has a second wave and we more or less know we will due to the amount of tourist here bet we are ready for it.

Spain does not need any help from the Brits - 2 non-tourist areas of Spain are in 2nd wave lockdown affecting almost 300000 Spaniards!!
On paper the British are faring better.

We are in Spain and were cycling around the lakes last week, though La Mata and back to our car in Torrevieja. People were very respectful everywhere we stopped and that has been the case wherever we’ve been, including Alicante, Benidorm, Santa Pola and Gran Alacant! We saw a few police c...

You are right it has been managed properly here we are used to the regulations and 99% of the people adhere them and get on with life, what’s happening back in the U.K. is a shambles , I know where I’d rather be.

Are you in UK or just reporting what you see on the news?
Because I am in UK and we seem to be doing better than Spain. Isn't Barcelona locked down again?
Our current daily death rate is below the five year average.

Hi
I am due to relocate to Guardamar in July, flying out from Manchester. I will adhere to all and any rules and believe i will be safer there than in the Uk. So many mixed messages and people not taking precautions or following guidelines.

"look at the facts this so say virus is less deadlier than the flu"
Idiotic statement!
Clearly you either have NOT looked at the facts or are incapable of understanding them.

I think there's not need to get into the 'Spain is doing better than the UK' or vice versa. All countries still have issues - it's not a competition.
Where we should look to for an example of how not to go about it correctly is the USA - where they did show they could get this under control in NYC - then the masks get politicised and people listen to Trump and not the health advisors - now (one example) today Florida has just reached maximum capacity in the ICU wards in 56 locations with a further 32 on 90% capacity - hospital admissions increased 90% last week. On the rise in 32 states at last count.
Why? We already know that social distancing & masks work - but it needs people to lock their brains into this - if we shrug this off and don't all help each other - we'll see another peak. One of the main culprits for is bars, indoors, packed - and it has been stated (and pretty obvious), that along with bars comes alcohol and soon as people have a beer or two down their necks, social distancing goes out of the window. Of course large gatherings of all sorts - but - as people rush out / tourism - the bars are really accelerating this.
The UK opened up it's pubs on a Saturday night - this was not recommended by health authorities & any notion of people social distancing and responsible behaviour did not happen. It is quite likely we will see some increases in the UK in the next few weeks, as fallout from this - as it is a mirror (little smaller) of what the USA did in terms of opening.
Really, just a little common sense is needed - an old lady walked up to my face to talk to me about my dog - clearly just intending to be friendly, but her face was way too close and she simply forgot - I said nothing, but, small things.
In Spain, we will also see another bump - the increases in the main have been caused by either large gatherings as people rush to get out and now with tourists - the likes of Benidorm, for example, concerns me - as many Brits go there simply to get drunk, so unless the bars are super strict & even then....More Guardia about, but it still won't be enough.
Where we do have an advantage over the UK, is the climate - we can almost eat or drink outside all year & you are considerably less likely to catch outdoors, due to wind movement and greater distancing.
However, there will always be a percentage of the population which won't comply or don't believe or care - so unless businesses are strict with masks & distancing - which I can understand must be very difficult for a bar owner to deal with - crowds of drunken people....
So - individually, wear a mask if out and about, if others around you - certainly in all shops (which I am not sure if they are doing in the UK? - but here we wear a mask when going into a shop and look for the hand sanitiser in the entrance, which they should have). If going to eat or drink, try to do it outside where there is space.
There's been no change - we are not 'out of the woods' there is no cure - we reopen to save the economy, but that opens up a greater risk, which is why it's almost guaranteed, wherever you are there will be pockets of outbreaks. If the majority comply, then there will still be problems, but it will be at the lower end of the scale - as soon as you 'open up everything as before' - we'll be into major lockdowns again, which won't help the economy which has already contracted 10% odd - aside from the obvious of people dying. Let's not follow the USA where masks have been made an issue of 'liberty/freedom' as opposed to common sense of the healthcare officials.
