We’re travelling on 5/10. If any changes to rules in Torrevieja, I’d be grateful if this forum could be updated.
Well done.
You can also do your own research on the area.

Thought about that.....
I’ll try the local Town Hall. Maybe they’ll reply.

A lot can happen between now and the 5th October. The Costa Blanca is fairly quiet at present and no massive volume of people coming and going so hopefully, it will remain safe. However, you are coming from either U.K. or Ireland and both countries are experiencing huge rises in infections so your problem may be whether or not you will be in a local lockdown and unable to travel.
We returned to NI 10 days ago and haven’t left our home since however the infections are rising out of all proportion. The post code close to ours is in local lockdown, We came home 2 weeks early in order to have our quarantine over. My son along with his fiancé and her parents plan to come over from England for a week to meet us. In the past 6 days, plans have had to change daily. To date, nobody in NI is allowed to have anyone visit inside their house so how can we entertain these people? I don’t think they should come but if they do we will have to all stay in the same hotel in order to have time together. Imagine, we are permitted to stay in a hotel but they are not allowed into our home. I am not permitted to cook a meal for them but we are permitted to dine out. We are prepared to do this but between now and their arrival on Saturday, who knows what other rules will be implemented.
Don’t count on going to Spain. Just keep your fingers crossed. Things can change from one minute to the next and In a way, I feel safer knowing that we haven’t been in contact with anyone so perhaps this quarantine has done us a favour!

The rules are are absolutely ridiculous and dont make sense at all.
I totally understand the need for rules but how some of them are put together and the reasoning behind them is just mind boggling with no common sense.
No wonder people are confused dot com.

Crikey, and I thought it was bad out here in the UK East. That is slightly nuts re being able to hotel the event but not in your own home (or garden?)....and a lot can happen in a few days. Have lost track here - I think it is a max of 6 people but same families....and outdoors but it is not easy to keep pace with the changes.
A company I know has started the return to work of 10% of the staff in the office...but that was before the last few days confirmed cases.
At the end of the day it tends to become a personal choice, well largely, on all matters such as cancelling events above and beyond the legal aspects.

As you say, things are changing daily. Hasn't quite reached N.I. levels in Dublin. No local lockdown (for now). I was also concerned about local public transport from airport to Torrevieja.

Gosh, I understood that Dublin went into lockdown but I must have misunderstood.
Take the airport bus. Wear surgical gloves and your mask and you should be safe ( gloves aren’t mandatory but keep any germs at bay)
Enjoy your holiday
Hello,
I would check public transport the day before you leave - if you still intend to come- any sooner could still be subject to change before your arrival. Taxis from the airport will always be available if flights are arriving & to Torrevieja it is around €55-€65 depending on where you are going.
Cheers

I spent a week and a half along the Orihuela strip recently. Yes measures are in place but they are sensible and everyone was very observant. There are plenty of restaurants and bars open some with menus on a QR scanner on your table. The shops are all open and there are clicker systems in big shops to ensure social distancing can be observed. There was also plenty of hand gels at entrances. All staff in shops offices restaurants etc are wearing masks. I felt very safe. I feel less safe now back in quarantine in the UK and think the UK Government has a cheek to make us quarantine when Spanish measures are so much better. My quarantine is nearly up but I wont be going very far and luckily Im set up to work from home. I will be back in October!!
