I got my SMS today Pfizer tomorrow PM behind Carrefour. I am 71, My friend 72 has got his cita tomorrow AM. My better half is 66 so she is probably a couple of weeks away from hers. My TIE should be ready too at the end of the week so on Monday I will go to Alicante to pick it up, I hope.

Hubby, aged 63, had his first AstraZeneca at the Torrevieja vaccination centre this afternoon.  He said it was a very smooth procedure - when he arrived at the main door, he showed the first attendant the appointment confirmation text on his phone; he was directed to another attendant who told him which, of about 7 smaller queues, he should stand in.  When he got to the head of that queue, he was asked for his SIP card - my husband showed the attendant the confirmation text of his temporary SIP number, explaining that he didn't have a card, because he had private health insurance, and offered his TIE instead.  The attendant checked his TIE number and SIP number on a computer, and then directed him to a numbered cubicle.  He said the jab was so quick and painless, he didn't realise it had been done.  He was then directed to a waiting area, with socially distanced chairs, where he was advised to sit for 15 minutes and, if he felt OK, he could then leave.

As I'm 60, I'm assuming it will be another 2 or 3 weeks before I'm called for my first jab, but I'm delighted to hear of so many members receiving their jabs now.  OK, there's a way to go yet, but it really does feel to me as if there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Stay safe,

Kim
