Hi we also live in playa flemenca. It is about 45 min from airport. We use in is free transfers to take us to apartment. It costs I think gone up recently to 15€ each way . They will drop you and collect you if u want return to airport. Reliable. Playa flemenca it self is like a town of its own. Yet we are 10 min walk to beech. Lots of lovely restaurants and supermarkets of all types. Le zenia shopping centre is huge and very accessible. You can walk bout 15 minutes for us or a taxi will cool to u for around 6€. Also there is huge street market every Saturday morning all year round. Doctors dentist and hospitals all close by. We love it here as it is not touristy in a benedorm way. But beach and sea very close by. People very friendly. All nationalities . We wish u well in your quest . If we can help don’t hesitate to contact us. By the way I’m coming up to 70 very soon and looking forward to spending it here.  Take Jane and Eamonn.

Not sure I understand what you typed. Maybe auto spell or something🤷‍♂️. You use some sort of free transfer but it costs €15 and you are 45 minutes away. We are the other side of Alicante 20 minutes from the airport and the minimum is €50. I thought it was text talk and I'm too old to decipher some of that. Then realised you are 11 years older than me 😂

Hi , I sorry for the mixed up text. It’s not free but the fare is 15 € and it’s used by lots of people coming on holiday. I’ll take ur response to my age as a joke as I hope it was that was what u ment. If not then I do think it was a little insulting. I’m very alert and know was going on all around me all the time thank you.

No insult intended. The joke was 'teenager text talk' 🤭. I can't understand any of that 🤷‍♂️

One thing you will need to be aware of is just how cold Spain can be during the winter months. Few houses have heating or insulation. It can be pleasant during the day in the sun, but very cold during the evenings and early morning - for example we have just had some friends on a flying visit and...

... it rained from the time they landed virtually until they left, and it was very cold and windy also.

if you rent, you have to find something on the south-east, otherwise you will get cold if your house or apartment has no heating, I'm not even talking about the heating costs...

We have recently bought in torrevieja central. From Alicante airport it is only a 50 minute bus journey to the centre and only costs €7 one way. There is an abundance of shops bars and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. It also has a lovely promenade, marina and lovely beaches. There are plenty of buses if you if you want also. Most importantly it is busy even in winter.

How much do you charge from the airport to a home, please
