Great advice cheers , beer anytime time when I'm settle here, and I stop choking to death, from the devil's breath in my bathroom. I got my old lady trolley and I'm off to the Carrfore for as much sealant and bleach as the trolley wheels will carry. The amount of toxic cleaner I have brought ,I'm surprised my card has not been flagged up ,thinking I'm making a nuclear weapon. # in my mind I'm living the dream , my reality I'm fighting sewer crime 😭😭😭😭😭😭

In the morning, after you have applied the sealant, it will smell like roses I assure you!!
We had exactly the same problem. The smell was gut wrenching . It was the waste in sink hadn’t been fitted properly . My husband put a proper fitting on and smell gone
I trust you are on mains drainage.
If you're on a septic system bleach will kill it dead and you'll have to have it emptied and start afresh.
I wish I had Richards crystal ball which I presume he's used for his remote diagnosis!
No pun intended but sealer is only ever a stop gap solution, do the job properly, find the problem and fix it.

The shower drain has not been installed properly. Your drain is flowing straight into the waste pipe.
Get the guy back or it will cost you.

This bungalow was a full gut and refit ,walls down ,all to the bare bones , electric rewire, new plumbing, new water pipes into it . so on collecting my keys that's is the very last thing I would expect. I'm back off to London it smells better. If I don't laught il cry.. I'm sure it's gonna be a long wait for these people to return . The buying was to smooth, so I clearly have to have stress from my smooth run, and it starts with plumbing., 🙈🙈🙈, Go to Spain they said it be fun , get me a gun hell has started, I can smell his breath.😭
Get them back love.
There is a smell in all Spanish houses if you dont flush the loos frequently but from what you have said that's definitely not right.

We too had a new shower room built in the summer and have a similar problem with a bad smell, think it comes from the sink - we have put a cork in the overflow hole and keep the plug in - obviously hasn't sorted out the problem but it keeps the smell down. Should have got the plumber back, bit late now i think for that!
good luck, know how you feel.

Hi,
If the plumber has not fitted a good "P" or "S" trap these hold a water barrier and stops the smell.
On the ground floor our plumber fitted a "P" trap in the underbuild, but upstairs the shower had to go on a plinth so a "S" trap was fitted.
