I was tempted to suggest Shag Pile, but in reference to the Topic title I will cautiously decline comment. 🤭

So the Spanish Council workers are the same as the British and Irish, one man does the work while six or seven stand around and supervise the project, some things never change.
Is this what you mean?

One next to me too, hope it’s not the same one ! We won’t sleep in front room because of it. Thought of getting a couple of cones, putting one either side for safety and lifting it around 5am but be too heavy for me nowadays anyway. Rubber sounds the way to go though.

Crow bar one side up. Slip a section of hand towel between cover and ridge. Repeat for on the opp. side. Should sort out the problem. Next time it's lifted, I'm afraid you will have to repeat the actions. We do this once or twice a year outside our house.
Good luck.
