Good morning

We are on our second week of isolation since returning on 19th Sept,we felt very safe in and around Villamartin you have to wear masks everywhere which we should do here, enjoy your holiday

Just on our way to the boulevard. As others have said other than masks all is very nice. Dreading going back in a couple of weeks!

Afternoon

I have flights booked for October and want to know what it is like over there at moment.  I can self isolate/quarantine on return to uk but if things are all but completely locked down over there I will stay put until the New Year.  All opinions welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. We plan to return to Moraira also in October. We are prepared to quarantine on our return to the UK but are trying to determine if there will be any risk of the Alicante/Valencia region being forced into a lockdown and leaving us stranded there.

Hi Brads1,

You can check the status of Covid-19 cases in individual towns on this website:

https://icvgva.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/3a3115ad642a4516b0928f21e395b32d

There is currently no suggestion of a national lockdown in Spain, although there are individual areas, such as the south of Madrid, that have been put back into lockdown.

Kind regards

Kim

I detest the things but to be honest it’s the rules over here and once you find one that suits you it’s not so bad.

When we booked our flight over with Ryanair they offered insurance which we took out. It was very cheap.

Hi Graeme

I thought the small print states that this is invalid if travelling against govt advice?

Thanks

Chris

The vast majority of travel insurance policies, DO NOT cover you if the govt advice is not to travel, which is currently the case for Spain. So, you either take the risk and go (which we did) or hunt around for a policy that may cover you. I believe they do exist, but are expensive and make sure you read the small print very carefully.

Not for everyone I’m sure, but if you are reasonably fit and healthy I would take the risk.
