That is the Pharmacy we use regularly because the young man there speaks Italian!

I lived in Italy for 40 years and my daughter was born and lived there until a year ago when she joined me here in Villena.

Would that be ‘official’ enough to get through? He’s going back to Paris so we are worried about them accepting this test. He isn’t jabbed but has had Covid.

Update: we were very worried and so he had a PCR test yesterday at Delfos, where we usually go, as it has the longer time span of 72 hours.

We did sort it even though it meant paying the extra for a PCR test instead of antigen as we have 72 hours instead of 48 hours validity. 

I shall certainly take note as my kids travel regularly and usually need these tests for France and Italy.

Yes, you receive an e-mailed Certificate usually directly from the laboratory where the swab was sent to test. It must have passport number, full name as on passport, date of birth and, to be safe, I would ask them to put on the flight number.  That usually takes about 24 hours.

Hi Janice, Thanks. It gets expensive when to have to go a few times to England. Going over next month , then back then Portugal and back and then back to England and back again. Usually with the antigen tests you just have to wait half an hour and they give you your certificate. Do they speak any English at all there? Do you live in Caudete I live in Villena. Dee

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. 

With the PCR test you receive the result by e-mail. This is with Delfos centre in Plaza  Rollo, 5.  Cost: €100.

With the antigen test it takes 15 minutes to get the result there and then. You do have to book, however. Cost: €40.

There is a receptionist who speaks enough English to get by on!  You won’t need a lot of explaining to do in Spanish.

I live in the campo in Villena, opposite Las Virtudes.

I was told by another member of this forum that we can get the antigen tests done in a pharmacy in Villena, the one next to Springfield, and another one in Caudete. I haven’t asked there but would be worthwhile looking into if it’s valid for travelling to the UK.

I’ll let you know but the U.K. government will probably be changing the rules on 5th January. Don’t hold your breath 🤪.
