This might help

UPDATE RESIDENTS WITH PRIVATE HEALTHCARE EARLY RETIREES. The Comunidad Valenciana have now issued instructions that any legal resident, pre pensioner can present their Residency, uptodate Padron, Spanish contact number and request a "No. de SIP sin cobertura y privados". This gives them a numbe...

...r only. They will be contacted AT THE TIME OF THEIR AGE GROUP to attend for their vaccine. They may however have to pay a fee for the nurse to administer the injection. Not for the vaccine. This instruction only went out last Wednesday. People should at least wait till nearer the time of their age group to register. At the moment we are just finishing 90+ If when you go you have any problem please ask to speak with the 'Responsable' of your centre first to clarify. This is a mandate from "Conselleria'. SOME CENTRES MAY HAVE A SET ADMINISTRATIVE TIME SO PLEASE RESPECT THIS. If you continue with problems then advise which centre and it will be queried for you. [email protected]

There's also a dedicated site for those with only PHI to register for the Vax, I'll try to find it

From the British Embassy to Valencia Heath Care Authority

Dear All,
I hope you are all well. I am writing with an urgent request from the Valencian healthcare authority regarding some erroneous information that is circulation on social media. I’d be grateful if you could share the following information on your platforms/with your communities, where appropriate. Do forgive me if you are not in Valencia and have been included in this incorrectly – you can blame my geography!
The Valencian health authority has made us aware that the following link is being shared erroneously. This link (below) is for patients who have Covid-19 symptoms only (and do not have a SIP card), it will register them on the system so that they can receive the appropriate medical attention.
It seems this link is being circulated erroneously on social media as a way of registering to receive the vaccine for those who aren’t on the state system e.g. those with private health insurance. This is not the case, and those who have registered on the system using this link are, in fact, notifying the authorities that they have symptoms. As a result, the authorities are duty-bound to call every individual, which is placing an unnecessary strain on their system in the cases where people have registered incorrectly.

Lastly, there are also rumours that there is a waiting list for vaccines. There is no list, according to the authorities. Those who are eligible for a vaccine will be vaccinated according to the risk group they belong to, as per the wider vaccine rollout. If a UK national does not have a SIP card, they can contact their local health centre to register (and are advised to call beforehand).

Many thanks for your help in getting this information out to UK nationals in this area. "

........

It seems that the advice if you don't hold a SIP is to take your PHI info to your Centro Salud along with Passport Padron and Residencia card so they can register you on the system to be called when appropriate.

I suppose the implication is that if you don't have PHI or a SIP or Convenio you haven't made any health care provision at all while resident. Just my personal opinion here, but I do think that the Health Authority won't withhold a vaccination to someone not in any system at all, but how that would work I don't know.

That's interesting, thanks. We contacted our local salud last week and they told us they couldn't register us in any way shape or form without a SIP. We explained that we had PHI and simply wanted to get registered so that we would be included in the vaccination approach. So for us, if I'm reading the represented info correctly, the official Valencian process isn't being applied locally?

Clearly there appears to be little imperative for us or them to start lighting a fire under any of this given the lack of vaccines at this time or any mechanism for supplying any additional info which might inform on prioritisation. Where the individual sits outside the public health system.

Afternoon, I attended a facebook "Brits in Spain" livecast and the suggestion from the panel to questions about how those; below retirement age, with private health provision, locked out of the convenio especial for the first year, was that this group should look to their private health providers...

... who are in dialogue with necessary Spanish govt department.

Whilst I accept that when we speak to our PHI companies they say currently "we know nothing" it does seem as if we will be added to "the list" by virtue of our private provision.

I've heard reports before now that being on the padron was necessary to being "on the list" I'm sure the truth will out it's just frustrating waiting for the void to be filled.

Yes I agree...it IS frustrating. My partner is on the "At Risk" list so needs it done urgently. I will speak to our PHI's and see if they can help

Don't forget risk of contracting covid is linked to behaviour. There is much we can do to mitigate risk of infection :)
