Hello everyone, I live in Xàbia but would like to move to Altea next year. What is the hunting season like in Altea? Here in Xàbia there is hunting even outside the season, 3,4 days a week directly at the house, my problem is, I have 2 big dogs ( dutch shepherds) and mine are very protective and if we meet a pack of dogs of the hunters with their uncontrolled pack of dogs on the way it is not funny anymore. I don't want to report anyone, my neighbours are all Spanish, I just want to be able to live somewhere without running into a hunting pack, are there areas around Altea, la'olla, la vella etc. that are quieter or less hunted? I am very grateful for tips, thank you

Hello, everyone. This is my first time posting. Pleased to chat with you all! My wife, parents, son, and me will move to Altea permanently in late May from California. We need advice regarding private health insurance for my parents. They are 83 and 82 years old, respectively, with no serious preexisting conditions, but they do have a few issues that typically come with age (such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, muscle spasms). We originally contracted with and paid DKV Seguros for health insurance coverage for the whole family, including my parents, but nearly six months after we submitted our applications and we paid them in full, we still don't have insurance certificates for my parents. According to DKV, the delay is due to their "age and health," which DKV knew about all along. I am now concerned that DKV will not insure my parents even though they haven't yet said "no." Do any of you have advice regarding obtaining private health insurance for a married couple in their 80s? Any brokers or companies that you recommend?

Hi everybody, 

I am selling a property on the Northern Costa Blanca and because we put our children on the Escritura, I need to have the power of Attorney to sell the property.

I will be going to Spain in February to complete the sale but our children will remain in England. I have contacted several Notary solicitors in England, where I am at present, but all but one requires a Power of attorney form filled in in both English and Spanish. I wondered if there is such a form that I could download and print off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
