We are staying in La Zenia with a view to a future living in Spain during the winter months. I’ve joined the local gym Maxx for a month but for the moment we’ve not hired a car so limited to public transport. 

Does anyone know where we could go dancing?  - in the UK we go to ceroc and ballroom but open to trying anythibg new if that will be easier from La Zenia. 

If you are into cycling dates for you to take note of is between August 24 and September 15 when the Vuelta a Espana 2019 ( Tour Of Spain ) takes place.

The race opens with a flat 18km team time trial from Salinas de Torrevieja to Torrevieja, followed by a day from Benidorm to Calpe on stage two.

 Looking for a plumber to fit a shower tray plus shower surround very simple set up and a few odd jobs around Villa I would say probably two days work max if anyone is interested in doing this I am in Spain for a few days from the 21st of February  decent tradesmen needed money waiting

I rented bikes and a wheelchair from a charity shop beside the randy leprechaun. But the last time I was in orihuela the shop was not there. Did it move or go out of business?? Thanks bev

This site is great. We have been dreaming of moving to spain for a couple of years. After putting a lot more thought into it, it seems not such a good move. The language, lack of jobs, need for healthcare, all seem like big barriers to me. I will have to wait until i am rich or retired and even then i would need a bolt hole in each country. 

I have been looking at the site and reading messages and answers and am very impressed with the quality of information provided. 

The sun and weather are a big attraction for spain but the practical details have to be worked out.

For now I will keep up with my holidays and only dream a little. Ha ha

I am coming to la zeina for 3 weeks end of July. It is my 3rd time to visit and I am looking forward to my holiday. So far we have eaten around paddy point, around the bog road and the boulevard. Visited the beach, the orihuela resort for swimming and used the train for sightseeing. Any other helpful suggestions would be appreciated. I have not found the bus stop to get me to other towns. Is it outside the boulevard? In Lanzarote I used the bus a lot. What is the bus service like in la zeina. Any other suggestions welcome. Family with 2 teen boys. The boys have gone go karting, rented bikes but we have yet to go to the water park.

Hi everyone , my husband and I have just purchased a property in la zenia ; we have been here many times on holiday and his father has bought and sold property there for 10 years but we still don’t know the little things ‘ so in order to keep some teenagers happy we gotta get WiFi / English tv / sports ,!,, also what does everyone think about conforma furniture store in the boulevard it doesn’t get great reviews and I would like to update some furniture in the house without traveling too far

I am looking to purchase an apartment on oasis beach la zenia complex facing boulevard, I have € 200k to purchase Si if anyone wants a quick sale within 2-3 weeks email or text me with which phase your on and price and top bottom property ?,I know some people ask fortunes that’s why there still available but some are realistic and genuinely want to sell , I can buy a top floor now at 190€ but very bad spot to be honest and like I say only have 200-200 to spend, please let me know if anyone has for sale thank you all
