I’m 74, would it be difficult to retire in Spain? Left it a bit late, but still considering it very strongly

I have a English car in an underground car park in las ramblas. The intention was to drive it back last spring but the virus intervened.

I am now thinking of leaving it in spain for a year or two so it would need registering and a lights conversion --i think --plus a local test.

It is a 10 year old low mileage diesel BMW and should pass any test i think.

Battery is flat right now but i have someone local who has the keys and could sort that out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I cannot get to ramblas for a month or two --waiting for a vaccination!

I just wanted to make people aware that there is a serious problem at the moment concerning burglaries on Las Ramblas.  There have been eight in the last two weeks, including one last night and one the night before.  Currently they are targetting villas which are occupied.  In last night's burglary, tools were stolen from an outdoor shed and used to break in.  The owner had dogs and these were shut in one room by the burglars.  They were surprised in the act by the early return of the owners and ran away.

These events all seem to be occurring around the area of Calle Rio Segura and it is suspected that they are being undertaken by newly arrived residents renting in the area with a need to fuel a drug habit.

Please be very vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.

Me gustaria avisar la gente  que en este momento hay un grave problema de robos en Las Ramblas. Ha habido ocho en las últimas dos semanas, incluida una anoche y otra la noche anterior. Actualmente están apuntando a las villas que están ocupadas. En el robo de anoche, se robaron herramientas de un trastero en el jardin y las usaron para entrar. El dueño tenía perros y los ladrones los encerraron en una habitación. Fueron sorprendidos en el acto por el  regreso de los dueños y huyeron.

Todos estos eventos parecen estar ocurriendo en el área de la Calle Río Segura y se sospecha que están siendo llevados a cabo por residentes recién llegados que alquilan en el área con la necesidad de alimentar el hábito de las drogas.

Por favor esté muy atento y reporte cualquier actividad sospechosa a la policía.

Je voulais faire savoir aux gens qu'il y a actuellement un grave problème concernant les cambriolages sur Las Ramblas. Il y en a eu huit au cours des deux dernières semaines, dont une la nuit dernière et une la veille. Actuellement, ils ciblent les villas qui sont occupées. Lors du cambriolage de la nuit dernière, des outils ont été volés dans un hangar extérieur et utilisés pour entrer par effraction. Le propriétaire avait des chiens et ceux-ci ont été enfermés dans une pièce par les cambrioleurs. Ils ont été surpris dans l'acte par le retour prématuré des propriétaires et se sont enfuis.

Ces événements ont tous été dans le quartier de la Calle Rio Segura et on soupçonne qu'ils sont commis par des résidents nouvellement arrivés qui louent dans la région avec un besoin d'alimenter une toxicomanie.

SVP Soyez très vigilants et signalez toute activité suspecte à la police.

I would like to leave my RH drive BMW permanently in Spain.

I believe the headlights need to be adjusted and new number plates.

Hi all, Hope all safe , 👍, there are 4 of us coming and I was looking maybe at staying in las Ramblas or the Villamartin in a nice 3 bed 2 Bathroom apartment 

as we are looking to buy in Costa Blanca south and we have already been to la mata and Aguas Nuevas , , just putting it out there hopefully for some feedback
