We're currently in the process of finalising a plot of land for building purposes. We have narrowed it down to 2. One in La Romana and one in Barbarroja which falls under Orihuela

Our builder is familiar with La Romana and building permit times seem to be around 3 months. However he's not as familiar with Orihuela, partly as the Orihuela boundary falls into a very weird slit of land up through Albatera and up towards Barbarroja. He said he's heard of applications taking up to 2 years but that could be outdated.

The Barbarroja one is probably in the lead for me, but not enough to warrant waiting an extra 18 months.

Has anyone recently made any applications or has any idea on timescales?
