Looking for recommendations for Easter processions/celebrations in/around Albatera ( including Catral, Hondon de los Freiles etc).

Thanks

The Palm Sunday parade in Elche is one to see.

Have a look at the websites of most town halls in the area where you should see what parades each town has planned.

Yes I agree Palm Sunday at Elche is not to be missed. They have a little market there and you can get all your palm crosses and flowers and join in the parade at the end.

Also the crucifixion  up the hill at Rojales Crosses.

Try any of the silent processions, held by candlelight, with all the street lights and shop lights switched off. It’s quite a moving experience and the atmosphere seems to heighten your sense of smelling the beautiful floral displays.

Some of the bigger parades in the area go on for well over 4 hours, so make sure you pay for a seat.
