I’m puzzled why you are thinking of going from Alcoy to Elche to visit a GP, it’s a distance of 75km and is an hours drive away, so who knows how long it would take by public transport. If you want to use Imed then there’s one actually in Alcoy according to their website. However Alcoy is a fairly big town so there be at least half a dozen clinics serving that area.
If you are moving permanently then you will need private health insurance to support your residency, so your doctors charge is included in that. You’ll be given a list of local clinics and hospitals covered by your insurance. They write the prescription and you then just take it to the farmacia.
You will of course have to pay the full cost of your medications.
However most medicines can be obtained over the counter without the need of a prescription.

Another one who barks out an abrupt question without a please or thankyou & then gets sniffy when someone replies.
Am I being too sensitive or are people getting increasingly ruder on here?

No you’re not being too sensitive. Some folk just seems to get ruder. It’s so sad.
