I live less than 10 minutes from the town and beaches in Guardamar del Segura. Most of the towns/villages in the area have Spanish residents. So the  bars/restaurants are Spanish owned and run for the Spanish. So although there are expats in the towns, the majority live just outside those ar...

I live on an urbanisation which is full of expats of various nationalities. I have a choice of 10 places to eat and drink within a 10 minute walk. But within a 10 minute drive I can visit Spanish towns of Rojales, Benijofar, Los Montesinos etc etc. My urbanisation comes under the municipality of Guardamar, so within that ten minute drive (or bus ride) I have a busy town, port, miles of sandy beaches and beautiful parks.

The location ticked all our boxes when we moved and that’s the most important thing you need to do now and find a location that feels right for you.

Wow Thank you Lynn.

Your reply to my posting was very informative and has moved Guardamar de Segura to the top of my visit list. I can't consider

buying a property because of age, but I want to permanently retire to Spain so consequently I am seeking a long term let that

I probably wiil turn my toes up in.  If you can provide any agencies or facilities that can assist me in gathering info and advice about the area, ie: ex-patcommunities, clubs and associations, it would be most appreciated.

Once again thank you,

Regards.
