Grateful for any advice/info from people who have had an overnight stay in a Spanish hospital on what we can expect, as have procedure coming up next month in Sant Joan D'Alacant. Is there a secure locker for personal belongings when in theatre, visiting etc?

Thanks

Hi all, thought I’d share our post-op experience. After him waiting 7 hours (7am to 2pm) in a gown on a bed,  we were furious to be told that the operation wouldn’t be happening and to go home - the date had already been moved twice prior. Second time around, just a 5 hour wait but it did go ahead. Food was plentiful after op, if a bit bland, so treats were appreciated. Very little water given, but we’d taken plenty of everything. Both times in a room with just one other. Very quiet and peaceful throughout. Toilet roll dispenser was impossible to get anything out of, so our own was a must, as was our long-lead charging cable, as the only plugs were high up behind the bed. I didn’t stay with him overnight and the chair which I assume I would’ve slept on wouldn’t open out, so would have been a tad uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. As with most of our experience, the consultants speak English. Everyone else were happy to help out our Spanish with translators and good will. Just a one night stay but overall a very good hospital experience, once the op actually took place. Thanks again for all the advice.
