Hello
How is this a 'blow' for Brits.? It's easily obtained and €7 for 3years or until passport expires(whichever is first)
It was predicted to happen so not new news and only if you ignore it, do you create your own problems.
Cheers

I don't have any problems,
As it doesn't apply to me,
Having an EU passport....

This has been on the cards for a long time and has been known about for years. It's similar to the US system where you have to get an ESTA to travel.
Plus UK is introducing the same thing for non Brits called the Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) and are just having few IT problems setting it up. That will cost non Brits who travel visa free 7 pounds and only valid for 2 years.
Both these systems (the ETIAS and the ETA) should have been started a couple of years ago.

This isn't news and has been common knowledge for a couple of years. Don't understand why it's a 'blow to Brits'.
